The Partnership for Public Lands was formed in 1997 by the Federation of Ontario Naturalists, the Wildlands League (a chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) and World Wildlife Fund Canada to participate in the Lands for Life land- use planning program. b156xw03 v.0

The Partnership has stressed the importance of a core system of parks and protected areas that protects species and natural processes and that gives us the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the power and intricacy of wild places. We see this system as being at the heart of a healthy landscape, one in which must tread carefully — living off the interest rather than the capital of natural systems like forests and fisheries. google talk jabber

Our goals have been endorsed by more than 40 other environmental organizations and our work has been supported by thousands of Ontarians as well as by people from across Canada and around the world.
